Anthony Roper

Computer Security Research


I am graduate of Ethical Hacking & Countermeasures BSc (Hons) at the University Of Abertay, Dundee, and I currently work for NCR Corporation as a "Software Security Specialist".

My current specialist subjects are Reverse Engineering in x86 Assembly and Android, the use of Linux (various distributions, though particularly Arch Linux or Debian), simplistic Web Development and Programming in various programming languages.

My skills include: experience with the programming languages C, C#, Bash, Assembler, Smali, Python, Ruby and others, and experience using HTML5/CSS3, PHP, Javascript, Jquery and MySQL to create websites. I am dedicated and enthusiastic in all my endeavours and always strive for excellence.

From the 10 June 2013 until 1 September 2013 I worked as a full time Summer Intern at MWR Inforsecurity. Now, I have just finished my final year of University at the University of Abertay, Dundee.

In my spare time, I chat on various IRC networks, enjoy playing videogames, particularly the Metal Gear series, Xonotic and various independant horror games.
